BIOS: Christopher, Connie
It all started with a HAM image on an Amiga 500 at Glen Hill's house. Christopher’s Intel 80888 Turbo (!!) only had four color CGA and here was this computer that could plug into Glen's TV and had 1096 colors!! A little later with the aid of a cool little paint program, some 3D software, he started doing 2D and 3D animation. Ok...it was animation to him. He hadn't used computers in high school, but now computer graphics was to be the path on which he walked.
Christopher quit his desk job and moved to Minnesota to study Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at U of M's Institute of Technology. On weekends, he video taped local music bands and edited them. On top of this he was designing CD covers and doing some animation for local businesses (MMMM....flying logos, how cyber!).
During the summer of his second year out yonder, his old boss called him up. A new department was going great guns with computer animation and imaging. Christopher was invited to spend the summer as an intern. Christopher’s response was, "Yup"!
The internship with Sony Pictures Imageworks was very interesting. So interesting that SPI has been Christopher's employer (no longer as intern though) for almost the past two years. There, he works as designer for the Internet Production department, designing worlds in VRML technology.
What of the CS and EE degree? Still in progress....slowly.
